Today in class we went over using audio visual technology in Physical Education. I find that the most important audio technology is music. Whether the music comes from an Ipod or CD player doesn't really matter to me. If everything worked out for me the way I wanted I would be teaching elementry Physical Education somewhere in Western PA. Since I want to teach Elementry music will be a big part of each class. The most important visual technology, in my opinion, is anyway watching or critiqueing the skills that are being taught. I think I am actually going to start video taping my teams wrestling matches so I can show them what it is they are doing right or wrong. Unforunately, the school doesn't have much to offer as far as a VCR or video camera so I think I am going to take it upon myself to figure it out.

Thanks for fillng me in on everything that I missed on Tuesday, and for all of your well wishes! I agree with you that music is one of the most important parts of a Physical Education class. I think that it is much easier to teach students when they can put your thoughts to music. Also, I think that it is easier to get students motivated when they are listening to music that they like. I know that I find it a lot harder to work out if I am not listening to music. I think that it is really awesome that you want to work with younger kids too. A lot of people try to avoid the younger kids, so good for you!!!
